BABEL
GOD ALONE - "COME. LET US GO DOWN AND CONFUSE THEIR LANGUAGE SO THEY WILLNOT UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER."
In the book of Genesis 11:1-9 The people of Shinar
made elaborate plans to build a high tower to reach the heavens. They were
confused enough to believe they could bridge the gap between heaven and earth. "But
the Lord came down"(v.5) to foil their prideful plans. God alone paves
the way between divinity and humanity.
QUESTION: Are we too striving to build a tower to
reach God? We ought not be confused
thinking our passions, possessions or positions will get us to heaven. "The
Lord came down" and died on a cross so that you and I don’t have to build
anything but a person relationship with him.
